Tears of Regret

Love in Times of Corona

Drowned in tears of regret

He never gave a clear answer
His answers always vague
My soul was drenched in
ambiguity, perplexed felt I

I told him, a perfect politician
Makes he, would have been
We’ll never know was his reply
Or probably but not so surely

Again unclarity and clouds above
When struck by greyness and old age
And hair loss and blurry vision
Upon this moment he would look

In deep regret would sink his heart
His tears in agony and pain alas
But maybe to a heardened mind
The memory obliterated will be

The thoughts of what once was
About him she would reminisce
And sunken in nostalgic candor
Of what was she to him
